Bridesmaid to be!

I am going to be a bridesmaid!

Few days ago, one of my juniors sent me a bb message asking me to be her bridesmaid. I was very surprised. Well, I knew that she was going to be married this year, but I had never thought that she would ask me to be her bridesmaid since our friendship is not that close. But who cares? I always love weddings, and it’s the first time anyone asked me to be the bridesmaid. So, of course I said yes!

The World Cup Celebration!

Few days ago, after Spain went through to the World Cup final, I promised myself if it won the World Cup, I would have a big celebration. It was not a party or anything, simply just a dinner in the restaurant that I really wanted to go, Angus House.

Yesterday night was the ‘it’ day. I went to Angus House wearing my Espana t-shirt I bought few weeks ago at LM for HW, Galaxy Mall. Very excited!

Definitely the best steak in town!

How I Met Iker Casillas?

It was in 2002 World cup, 16 June to be exact: the day when Spain won over Republic of Ireland through penalty. I was no football fan at that time—just one of those people who watched football on its special occasion, like the World Cup. Anyway, in that match, I was suddenly attracted to Spain's gorgeous goalkeeper did a great job by saving the penalties. I was so amazed. I tried to look at the name behind his jersey, and yes kids… that is the story of how I met Iker Casillas.

He is a super-talented goalkeeper. With his club, Real Madrid, he has won four La Liga titles and three UEFA Champions league. Last two years, Spain won the UEFA EURO Cup with him as the captain. Then, this year is definitely a very special year for him. Besides Spain won the World Cup, Casillas also won the Golden Glove award (the best goalkeeper in the competition). I have been waiting for this moment for years (I bet he is too) and finally, the time has come!

"It's an honour and a pleasure. This is one of those awards that you look for but don't expect to win. Now that I've won it, it's time to go out and enjoy it"

"I'm not a saint, not at all. I have a lot of experience after putting in a lot. I have been gifted and have had lots of support from all my family and friends, so I am really overjoyed today."

"That's what we're here for. A goalkeeper's job is all about stopping your opponents from scoring, no matter how, and it's a team job that you work on with your defense and which everyone deserve some recognition for. I'm so happy. It's been an unforgettable night."

"It was not easy, but luckily we managed to win. We've earned this victory from beginning to end. It's been almost 50 days of full concentration. That in itself is very complicated, very difficult and gives an idea of what this group had one."

"This is something you dream about as a child, winning a cup that you've seen Brazil, France, and Italy win. It's something you see in video games and on TV. It's something you see everywhere but can never picture happening to you. To be honest, I still can't believe it. It is truly a special time and certainly a much happier moment than we won the European championships. We are now the world champions."

Although most medias and people say Andre Iniesta was the man of the match of the World Cup final last Sunday. I personally think Iker Casillas was the man to praise. He played very well during that match, saving plenty of shoots on goal from the Dutch. He was the Spain true hero, my true hero ☺

Viva la furia roja!

Viva Spain! Sorry for the late world cup posting.

First, I would like to congratulate Spain for winning the 2010 World Cup. It was a huge achievement for the country, since it was the first World Cup title in its history. Moreover, Spain has proved that they are not only the best team in Europe (as most of you may know, Spain won the UEFA Euro Cup in 2008), but also in the world.

As I promised, below are the photos of Spain’s glorious victory. Enjoy!

The final whistle… and the full-range of emotions...

Kiss the girl!

Planning to edit the photos of Spain winning the World Cup 2010 tonight, but found a video that is more interesting to see.

He is so sweet!! SO SWEET!! :')

Other Iker's sweet moment:

Anyway, I will edit the photos of the World Cup finale tomorrow and hopefully can post it at night.

Saturday off = HEAVEN!

How much I love a day-off on Saturday cannot be describe just by words!

A little information for you who has not known me: I am a 23-(yes 24 this year but I am still 23 until the next 2 months)-year-old girl who graduated two years ago and now stuck working at my daddy’s store. I work everyday except Sunday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (including Saturday!), so I do not experience two-straight-day-off each week like most people do. Now, I guess you know why I love last week so much. Last Saturday was a public holiday!

Having Saturday as a holiday is amazing! I spent the whole day relaxing (just like I always do on Sunday) and woo-hoo… it is still Sunday the next day.

I spent my weekend having dinner at Meat Shop and Gourmet with my sister and my good friend, Ricky. Yes, he is my GOOD friend, not BOY friend! So, if one day you see me going out with him, please do not start gossiping. He is more and less like my brother, who I (and also my sister) really love to tease.

Meat Shop and Gourmet is a pretty nice place to eat and the steak is very delicious with reasonable price. My recommendation is the US beef prime tenderloin (medium!) with steak sauce and mushroom. The sea bass tastes yummy too, but I like Portofinos and La Rucolas more. What I love about this restaurant is that it has a mini market inside it, which sells imported products like BEN AND JERRY's! I really love Ben and Jerry's more than Haagen and Baskin, which made me so excited when I knew this place sells it.

What I had that night:

Sorry for the blurry photos. Next time, I should bring my digicam since blackberry's camera sucks.
